For most business owners this statement, or if you prefer, affirmation, is quite frankly stating the obvious. Cash is indeed king, but you also need the ‘Queen’ and the rest of the pack in your hand.
Perhaps we could consider profits as the ‘Queen’, as without profits the only cash you have is short term. Then the rest of the pack, might be the ‘Jack’ as top line growth, the ‘2 to 10’ cards to include marketing investment, sales processes, sound cost structures, sensible risk management, a great team culture and the ‘Ace’ in the pack being a sustainable and leverageable Business Model!
Therefore, I’m suggesting cash truly is the ‘King’ and nothing much happens without the ‘King’ in place but also we must not forget the ‘King’ is only part of the complete pack!
