Andrew Rhodes FCA, CTA
Andrew is the managing and joint senior partner of Sobell Rhodes.
He specialises in providing clients with advice on strategy, growth and profit improvement.
Andrew has set up many of Sobell Rhodes' specialist divisions and is also a founder of the International Network of Accountants and Auditors. He is also responsible for ensuring that the quality of Sobell Rhodes' service always remains at a consistently high standard and will want to know immediately of any worries or concerns that you may have as a client.
Professional interests
Andrew is a frequent speaker on business development and strategy issues and has chaired a number of seminars and business forums. He also provides advice on the development of business improvement processes for SMEs. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
Personal interests
Andrew is married with four children and his hobbies include golf, tennis and bridge. His other interests include collecting antique writing boxes.

Melvyn Sobell FCA
Melvyn is joint senior and finance partner of Sobell Rhodes. He is different because he specialises in providing clients with advice on finance, Inland Revenue Investigations and forensic accounting.
He is also responsible for the firm's finances which gives him valuable insight into how monetary control can help business efficiency.
Professional interests
Melvyn acts for a number of prominent businesses advising on raising finance and profit improvement. He also specialises in resolving partnership and shareholder disputes as well as advising clients and solicitors in a forensic or court witness capacity. Melvyn is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, member of the Academy of Experts, member of the Personal Finance Society and a CEDR accredited Mediator.
Personal interests
Melvyn is married with three children and is a leading member, lay reader and teacher at the Edgware Masorti Synogogue. He enjoys reading and in particular historical fiction.

Selwyn Arnold BA (Hons) FCA
Selwyn is the audit compliance and quality control partner at Sobell Rhodes. The role enables him to assist clients in setting up strong financial controls and sound management procedures.
Selwyn oversees audit and technical training for Sobell Rhodes, as well as encouraging the career advancement of professional personnel.

Selwyn looks after a portfolio of clients covering a wide range of businesses and personal cases. His strengths lie in his attention to detail and personal involvement in individual client's needs.
He says, "I enjoy the people side of accountancy and believe it is important to be close to my clients to understand their aims and help them attain their aspirations."
Personal interests
Selwyn is married with two daughters, and a school governor. Regular attendance at the gym has enabled him to raise thousands of pounds for charity by hiking and taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the three highest mountains in Britain within 24 hours. Currently Selwyn is studying with the Open University, towards a BA (Hons) in History.

Michael Harrison FCA
Michael is an accounting and audit partner at Sobell Rhodes and is also the firm's staff partner.
He is different because he is also VAT consultancy partner, dealing with the ever-changing volume of UK and international VAT issues, including the complex area of property transactions.
Professional interests
Michael was instrumental in founding the International Network of Accountants and Auditors (INAA) and administered the international secretariat from 1993 to 1999. He is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Michael is married with a son and his interests include football, golf and skiing.

Michelle Fisher BSc. (Econ), FCA
Michelle is an accounting and audit partner. She is different because she specialises in advising clients on their accountancy systems, using her excellent organisational skills to help establish good financial controls and monitoring procedures.
She is the firm's champion of the "Investor in People" programme and is responsible for ensuring that Sobell Rhodes' staff are trained and developed to reach their full potential.
Professional interests
Michelle is a former Chairman of North West London Chartered Accountants, and remains actively involved as programme secretary to the local accountancy profession. Michelle has an excellent academic record and after graduating from the London School of Economics, she was awarded seventh place in her professional examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, of which she is now a Fellow. Michelle chairs the small entity Assurance Services Working Party of the Institute, which recently launched Assurance Reports in the UK.

Michelle is married with two daughters and her interests include reading, theatre and opera.

Nicholas Posnansky
Nicholas joined Sobell Rhodes as a partner in 2006 having previously practised at Sieff & Co from offices in Finchley Road, London.
Professional Interests
He is different because of a niche he has developed advising overseas based UK landlords and for his particular expertise in the charities field.
Other Interests
Nicholas is Chairman of the International Magen David Adom Committee, having joined the Board of Magen David Adom UK over thirty years ago and for the past ten years has held the position of Honorary Treasurer.

Steve Schogger
Director
Steve is the managing director of Sobell Rhodes IT Solutions Ltd. He has 25 years experience in the computer industry providing hardware and software support in conjunction with IT consulting.
Steve helps businesses to develop their information technology and computer systems in order to achieve future growth and run their organisations more efficiently. His other key skills include the creation of tailored databases for the clients specific requirements and total networking solutions.

David Cory
Consultant
David is our Senior Tax Consultant.
Professional Interests
He is also a senior adviser for the Chartered Institute of Taxation and for over 20 years has set and marked their examination papers. He is a regular contributor to Tolleys Tax Planning and other leading tax journals.

David is a keen biker and his other interests include powerboat racing.
